A buyer may need several specified cultivars consolidated into one box when:
- one HB (Half Box) of a single cultivar—approximately 300–400 stems in this example—is more than the buyer needs; or
- the buyer has an order for one box with a defined selection.
The wholesale flower supplier Ecualand may be able to coordinate this, but several details affect feasibility:
- Farms commonly offer farm-choice mixes, designed to pack a broad selection of available rose cultivars in one box. Buyers can sometimes request the exclusion of colors or cultivars that do not suit their market. A fixed-cultivar mix is more complex and may cost more because every component must be available together.
Mixes of up to three cultivars at one stem length are generally easier to coordinate.
An illustrative special rose mix at 70 cm is 300 stems: 100 Mondial, 100 Frutteto, and 100 Gotcha. Confirm official cultivar spellings and the current farm pack before ordering.
- A limited-availability cultivar can make a fixed mix difficult or more expensive. Replacing Mondial with Mia in the example may reduce the number of farms able to supply all three components at once. Farm coverage changes over time, so request a current availability check.
During seasonal peaks, farms may decline custom fixed mixes unless they are part of an established standing program.
Packing three cultivars separately is usually simpler for the farm than assembling a custom mixed box.
A fixed mix often costs more than a standard farm-choice mix. The difference depends on cultivar availability, packing effort, season, and current market conditions.
