Who to buy flowers from in Ecuador? Farms, consolidators and brokers
One company at origin, from a single box
The simplest way to buy wholesale flowers from Ecuador is through an exporter and broker at origin: one company that deals with the farms on your behalf, arranges the inspection and ships it to you from a single box.
That’s Ecualand. For 12 years we’ve been the eyes and hands in Ecuador for wholesale buyers: we pick the right farm for each variety, consolidate your order even when it comes from several farms, and ship it to the airport of your choice. You don’t need to travel to Ecuador, fill a plane, or negotiate farm by farm.

Farm, consolidator or broker: which suits you?
1. Directly from the farm
- Good fit if you buy large volumes of a few varieties and fill complete boxes from a single farm.
- Minimum: set by each farm; on a direct flight, around 100 kg per shipment.
- You handle negotiating with the farm, quality, and your own freight forwarder.
2. With an exporter and broker
- Good fit if you want variety, a small first order, or someone you can trust at origin.
- Minimum: with Ecualand, one box to Amsterdam.
- We handle the farms, the inspection and the flight. You collect at the airport.
This is what we do at Ecualand.
3. Through an online platform
- Good fit if you’d rather see availability and prices on screen.
- Minimum: depends on the platform.
- Ask beforehand who inspects the boxes and who answers if something arrives in bad condition.
Your first order, in four steps
- Tell us what you need: varieties, stem lengths, number of boxes, destination airport and date.
- Get your quote for that route, with farm availability and the pack for each variety.
- Confirm with the prepayment. We book space on the flight, which is why we ask for a week’s notice.
- The farms cut and pack, and the cargo flies. You collect it at the airport with the export documents.

What buyers ask before their first order
Who can I buy flowers from in Ecuador for export?
Directly from a farm, if you buy large volumes and fill complete boxes from it, or from an exporter and broker at origin like Ecualand, if you want to start with a single box, combine flowers from several farms in one shipment, or have someone at origin arrange the inspection.
What’s the minimum order to buy flowers from Ecuador?
With Ecualand, one box to Amsterdam, on consolidated cargo with four departures a week. For a direct flight to another airport, you need 100 kg, around four or five boxes.
Can I buy flowers from several farms in a single shipment?
Yes. Ecualand coordinates the order with its partner farms and ships it in the same consignment. If you need mixed boxes, the mix — farm’s choice or with fixed cultivars — is confirmed in the quote.
How long do flowers from Ecuador take to reach Europe?
The direct flight to Amsterdam arrives the day after departure, and there are four departures a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. We recommend ordering a week in advance.
Who handles customs on arrival?
The buyer or their customs broker. Ecualand sends the export documents — commercial invoice, packing list, phytosanitary certificate, airway bill and, if needed, certificate of origin — and the importer confirms what their country requires.
How do you pay for an order with Ecualand?
In advance. The prepayment is confirmed before booking the flight.
