The major Russian flower and plant trade show FlowersExpo, took place on September 8–10, 2020 in two formats: at Crocus Expo in Moscow and online through Flowers-Expo.Online.

For Ecualand the pandemic made international travel and in-person participation impossible. Ecualand adapted by exhibiting online, presenting its Ecuadorian flower-sourcing offer and meeting clients and partners through the digital platform.

FlowersExpo 2020 The hybrid format illustrated how trade shows adapted during a period of global uncertainty. From Ecuador, we joined other international businesses presenting remotely and used the online event to maintain professional contact across markets.

Conferences and roundtables addressed the pandemic’s effect on the flower trade and possible routes to recovery. For our team, the discussions reinforced the importance of adaptable operations and clear communication.

Although we could not travel to Moscow, virtual participation kept Ecualand connected with this industry event during an exceptional year.
